The evolved Monk lives a balanced life. Embracing the new technology and aged wisdoms, we strive to live healthy, joyous and mindful days. The journey is long. We are often challenged as we strive for truth.

To assist us in our daily lives, these following tips will give you a great start to creating a wonderful, powerful, and amazing day. These tools will assist you in evolving your entire being: The Mind, Body and Soul.

1. Body Nourishment

Don’t skip breakfast. Don’t eat large late night meals. Both of these common mistakes create a lethargic body. Late night meals can also affect your sleeping patterns. Nourishment provides the body with a means to maintain a level of stability and power. Sleep and rest are important requirements for the human body.

Eat a healthy diet. Drink water. Reduce manufactured sugars and foods. Enjoy fresh fruits and vegetables. Remove the coffee and cigarettes so that your body can fuel itself. This can reduce the daily energy roller coasters.

2. Move and Dance

Allow your body to move. Walk, stretch, and feel. Allow your blood to flow to all areas of your body. Build your strong physical foundation by pushing your muscles. Take at least 30 minutes a day to run, swim, or play. Try yoga or hike your favorite trail.

This boosts your energy and body awareness. Your spirits and mood will lift. You will learn to connect with the strengths and weaknesses of your body. Physical exercise will help you with breathing under pressure. It will assist you in mindfulness.

3. A Little Bit of Silence

The world is a noisy place. From all the electronics humming to human chatter, we are rarely away from the constant barrage of sounds. Some of us even use this noise to numb ourselves from our feelings and emotions. Absorbing oneself into TV or Internet allows us to become disconnected from our reality.

Make time in your day for a break of silence. Allow yourself a time and place to simply sit and be. Choose whatever time of day works best for you. Starting the day off this way is a wonderful time to set intentions and goals. In doing this every day, you will learn to calm the mind. You will allow yourself to face fears and grow.

Emotions will be easier to understand. Awareness will come almost naturally. Even just 5 minutes can go far. Imagine devoting 20 minutes or even an hour can do for your spirit.

4. Creative Inspiration

Feed your spirit. Do things that bring joy to your heart. Discover new books to read. Learn new languages. Eat new foods. Find new ways to introduce new information and possibilities in your life.

You will see that by doing this, the worries, fears, and insecurities start to dissipate. Not all TV or movies are bad. But be mindful to select material that is appropriate to lift your spirits, rather than drag you down. The “News” unfortunately is mostly tragic dark thoughts that feed our fears. If you watch TV, find shows that allow you to dream, become inspired, laugh and cry.

5. Do Good

Just one good act per day allows you to feel powerful and spiritual. The act of giving creates a connection both inter- and intra-personally. We will be able to connect with those outside of us, as well as connect the emotions, mind, body and soul.

In giving, you will become more aware of yourself as well as your surroundings. You learn that you are blessed and beautiful. You will also discover that you are indeed wise. Friends and strangers will seek you out searching for wisdom. Share what you know. Don’t fake it though. 

By helping in the subtlest forms, such as letting that car merge into your lane, you create an act of good will. You will never know how far that will spread as that person may feel the urge to be helpful to another stranger. You have the ability to change your world for the better. Not all good deeds have external rewards. But you will know who you are and be at peace as a powerful spirit. Smile!!!

There are definitely more ways to create a peaceful, powerful and evolved day. What do you recommend?
